Want to learn how to use a serger but don't know where to start? Do you own a serger but are just too busy or intimidated to open the box?
Bring your serger* and manual into the studio for a 2-hour primer on how to use your serger with Rae and learn what all those knobs and cones do, how to thread your serger and explore some of the basic serger options.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:
- The parts of your serger and what they do
- How to sew a basic 3- or 4-thread serger seam
- How to hide your serger tails
- How to thread your serger
- How to adjust your serger stitch length and width
- How to adjust the differential feed
- Basic troubleshooting
Taught by Rae Hoekstra at her studio in downtown Ann Arbor, this private lesson for one (1) student will walk you through the basics of how your serger works - threading, basic serger seams, and other technical questions (group lessons are also available on the drop-down menu when you add to cart).
This lesson is 2 hours long - once you purchase this lesson, Rae will email you her calendar so you can find a time that works. Daytime hours are easiest to schedule, but Rae often has weeknight and weekend availability as well.
